My name is Scott Markham and I am a licensed guide operating professionally on the Kalamazoo River for 9 years. I have been fishing the river for many years prior to launching my guiding business and feel that I know the river and the fish that swim in it as well as anyone ever could. I also have spent time guiding extensively on the St. Joseph River as well as local West Michigan lakes. I have a degree in Fisheries and Natural Resources and served for a time on the Board of Directors for the Kalamazoo River Watershed Council based in Kalamazoo, Michigan. I have had the great opportunity to interact with anglers of all ages and skill levels through community outreach programs, seminars and time on the water. I have been featured in numerious local and national fishing publications and enjoy passing along helpful information that can help folks catch more fish and enjoy their time spent fishing.
Feel free to get in touch with me whether you are interested in a guided trip, have a fishing question, or just want to find out more about what I do as a guide.
I hope this helps you get a sense of who I am and I look forward to seeing you on the water. Good fishing!
